Guadeloupe Island Map. Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — Trade and Secrets

Guadeloupe Island Map. Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — Trade and Secrets

Sea Dogs: To Each His Own Map — Guadeloupe Island

Speaking about the island of Guadeloupe and its only French colony, Basse-Terre, in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, the first thing worth mentioning is a Russian characterFadey.

You will meet him early in the game. Don’t rush to leave once the dialogue ends: if you agree to have a drink with him, you can get a couple of tips that will come in handy for Charles later.

In addition, some Sea Dogs: To Each His Own players miss the native officer. Simply ask Fadey about the thief who broke into his house during your first conversation — and before you sail to Guadeloupe, make sure you have doubloons ready.

On top of that, Fadey asks Charles to find the missing Persian blades. The first one is on the captain’s corpse of an English corvette encountered during the “Pirate Saga.” The second is in the Tortuga governor’s chest (the “Turtle Soup” quest). The third can only be found by chance in the cabins of captured ships of ranks 3, 2, and 1.

If you bring Fadey one of the blades, he will offer to sell you ropes — a truly unique opportunity, because in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own you won’t be able to buy ropes anywhere else in the Caribbean.

Speaking of quests, we should also note that it is in Basse-Terre that you can start the quest “The Value of Silence” if you have the “Last Lesson” DLC installed. You need to dock in the port from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Charles’s rank must be between 4 and 12 inclusive.

In the colony of Basse-Terre, there are only three street vendors — a gunsmith, a hardware dealer, and a herbalist. But sea trade does have something to offer.

Below is the usual table with prices that differ from the standard ones. An experienced trader will immediately notice that you can buy cocoa here at a “green” price, and cocoa is in short supply in some towns.

Another notable detail is the ability to sell ropes in the shop — but it is simply unprofitable. It is far more profitable to sell strategic goods to smugglers.

If you are hunting for manga rosa, head to Marie-Galante Island, southeast of Guadeloupe. Dock, move into the jungle, and look for manga rosa near a lone rock.

Please note that manga rosa can be collected only during your first visit to the location in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — after you leave the area, manga rosa disappears.
