A pirate island surrounded by reefs — in the previous entry of the Sea Dogs series, it was known as Bermudas.

In Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, Isla Tesoro has only one town: Sharptown. Like most pirate settlements, it’s limited in terms of services: a shop, a tavern, and a residence. However, it’s the only pirate town with a shipyard.

And it’s not a simple shipyard: for doubloons and a full set of strategic materials (ship silk, ropes, lignum vitae, tar), Master Alexus can restore your ship’s hull — but only if, during the story, England does not take control of the island.

There are no street vendors or smugglers in Sharptown in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own. As for sea trade, below is a table with all non-standard prices.

Compared to other towns, Isla Tesoro stands out with “green” prices for gold and silver. An experienced trader will also notice the “green” price for coffee — in some cities of Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, coffee can be a deficit good and sell for a very high price.

Sharptown also has a fun little secret: during the day, you can meet a one-legged man named Abraham Norman on the coast. The player can trigger a pretty amusing conversation with him.

Also, if you talk to him during the story quest “Ancient Maya City”, when Charles needs to visit Sharptown, you can learn a lot — especially if you took Latin lessons from Gino Guineili after finishing “The Dutch Gambit” on either side.

And if you’re hunting for manga rosa in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — the valuable herb used to brew the best potions in the game, including ones that can grant permanent stat bonuses — Isla Tesoro is a good spot: two manga rosa plants for a small island is a solid result.

The first manga rosa is in Benures Bay. If you head through it into the jungle, you’ll quickly reach a cave where you can find the second plant.

Reminder: in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, you can pick manga rosa only on your first visit to a location — once you leave the area, it disappears.
