Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — Jamaica Island map

Jamaica is one of the best-known islands in the archipelago — partly thanks to “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

It has two settlements: the English Port Royal (as named in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own) on the east coast, and the pirate Maroon Town on the west.

In Port Royal, you can find all five types of street vendors. It’s also one of the few towns in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own that has a brothel.

Port Royal also hosts one of the rare shipyards in the Caribbean where you can upgrade your ship’s stats. Only here can you improve your ship’s speed and its ability to sail closer to the wind (pointing angle).

Payment is made in doubloons, and you’ll also need a lot of ship silk.

It’s worth noting that Port Royal is the start and finish point of the Sailing Regatta. This is where you’ll receive the reward for one of the tougher quests in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own.

As for Maroon Town, there isn’t much to add: pirate settlements (with one small exception) usually offer only a store, a tavern, and a residence. There are no street vendors here — and no smugglers, either.

When it comes to sea trade and special shop prices, we’ve put everything into the table below — it applies to both Port Royal and Maroon Town, because their “special” goods are the same.

Jamaica is highly valuable for any trader because of the “orange” (high-profit) prices on certain goods.

If you’re collecting manga rosa in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, you can safely sail past Jamaica — there are no manga rosa plants here.
