Blueweld Colony Map. Sea Dogs: To Each His Own — Trade and Secrets

Sea Dogs: To Each His Own map — Blueweld colony

The English colony of Blueweld is located on the mainland in the Mosquito Coast region. In the previous entry of the Sea Dogs series, Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships, it was known as Santa Catalina and belonged to Spain. However, even if you played City of Abandoned Ships, you might not remember it at all — the colony never appeared in any quests.

The situation improved significantly in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own. During the “Pirate Saga” storyline, players will frequently visit Jan Svensson, one of the key narrative characters.

By the way, when he offers you a side deal after completing one of the quests, make sure to accept it — the rewards are well worth it.

In addition, during the quest “Sharp’s Will”, if you capture the Oyster and find a note with coordinates in one of the cabin chests, then travel to that location and sell the cargo to Svensson (you will learn exactly what it is during the quest), he will grant the player a unique opportunity to purchase lignum vitae in Sea Dogs.

There are only two types of merchants in Blueweld — the herbalist and the blacksmith — but this limitation is more than compensated by naval trade opportunities.

In the table of non-standard prices shown below, you can immediately notice “green” prices for ebony and mahogany in Blueweld. These resources are considered scarce in several cities in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own and can be sold there for extremely high profits.

Blueweld also stands out due to the ability to sell lignum vitae directly to the shop, but this is simply unprofitable. It is far better to sell strategic goods to smugglers or save them for ship upgrades.

As for manga rosa, the Mosquito Coast is the undisputed champion in Sea Dogs when it comes to the number of valuable plants. You can find as many as eight manga rosa plants here. Most of them are located in Amatique Bay.

  • The first manga rosa can be found directly in the bay, on the shore near a cliff;
  • The second manga rosa is hidden under a rock in the area leading to the Aztec temple;
  • The third manga rosa is located in the same area as the lone statue in the jungle;
  • The fourth manga rosa is found in a grotto near the pearl divers’ settlement;
  • The fifth manga rosa lies in Papagayo Bay between two large rocks;
  • The sixth manga rosa is located in Nicoya Bay on a small isolated rock protruding into the sea.

The remaining two manga rosa plants can be obtained only during the quest “The Hand of Nemesis”, which is part of the heavily criticized “Under the Black Flag” DLC. These two locations are:

  • After clearing the jungle blockage reached from the Caratasca Lagoon, proceed to the next area with a lone rock and two exits — one manga rosa is located there;
  • In the abandoned village location, almost directly against the wall.

Please note that manga rosa in Sea Dogs: To Each His Own can be collected only during your first visit to a location. Once you leave the area, the plant disappears permanently.
